Thinking about future is a good thing but if thinking causes stress then it may be due to anxiety produced by maladaptive thinking like giving more emphasis on imaginary anticipated negative outcome.so,probably you need to modify your thinking pattern. You can adapt the following tool for problem solving : 1)Adapt a possitive attitude 2)define the problem and worries about future 3)Think about all possible alternative outcomes 4)start doing the alternative having maximum probability of favourable outcome 5)If one method fails, try alternative using the first four steps
