swelling n pain are indicative of infection.in mojority of cases the wisdom tooth doent come straight n it doesnt have sufficient space to come out.Hence it is advisable to remove it as soon as possible.CONTINUOUS BOUTS OF PAIN CAN LEAD TO CHRONIC NFECTIONS N LATER BONE INFECTIONS
