I had pain near wisdom teeth region. But after taking pain killers it relaxed for few days but again emerging. I consulted a doctor he is saying that all the wisdom tooth had to be uprooted since the jaws are smaller in size than normal. Is surgery the only option. Here is the xray and doctors diagnosis

If you are experiencing pain repeatedly then operculectomy can be done. If still not relieved after the procedure, then the wisdom tooth needs to be removed.

If there is recurrent pain and medicines are not helping then operculectomy needs to be done. If operculectomy doesn't help then extraction needs to be done.
Decision can be taken only on clinical examination.
