Wife gets high headache
We have a son of 6 months old. Sometimes, baby don't sleep in night, so she gets litttle sleep. Due to lack of sleep, she sometimes get high headache. We tried pcm and meftal forte and somehow they don't affect much. Can we give disprin or any other medicine which is safe for baby as she is breastfeeding?

💬 Breastfeeding Mother with Sleep Issues 👋 Hello! Thank you for your concern regarding your wife's sleep. It’s very common for new mothers to experience sleep disturbances due to baby care, hormonal shifts, and fatigue.
Next Steps
😴 Sleep Support During Breastfeeding: For breastfeeding mothers, non-drug methods are preferred first: 💆‍♀️ Relaxation techniques (deep breathing, warm baths, soft music) 🌙 A consistent bedtime routine 🛌 Catching short naps during the day when the baby sleeps 📱Avoid screens or caffeine before bedtime 💊 Medications (if non-drug methods fail): Some sleep aids are very cautiously used during breastfeeding, but only under prescription. Safer options may include: Melatonin – considered relatively safe in short-term use ✅ Summary: 💤 Try non-drug sleep strategies first 💊 Medication only if symptoms are severe, and only with a doctor’s advice 🚫 Avoid Disprin/Aspirin — use Paracetamol or Ibuprofen instead for pain
Health Tips
➡️ However, any medication must be weighed carefully by a doctor after full evaluation of mother and baby. ❌ Is Disprin (Aspirin) Safe in Breastfeeding? No — Disprin (Aspirin) is not considered safe in breastfeeding mothers, especially in regular or high doses. Aspirin can pass into breast milk and may increase the risk of Reye’s syndrome in infants (a rare but serious condition). 🔁 Instead, Paracetamol (safe) or Ibuprofen (safe in low doses) are preferred for pain or mild fever. 🙏 Let me know if you'd like me to suggest specific options after reviewing her full condition. Wishing her good rest and both of you a healthy journey with your baby! 👶

You can give paracetamol 500mg  and aceclofenac 100mg just when there is severe headache   for pain. If headache is persistent, get c.t. scan done to exclude any underlying problem.

Firstly disprin can cause adverse effects. Would like to know more history to help you out. Until then you can consume more fluids and get some sleep whenever possible to reduce headaches. If it’s still not reduced, can take ibuprofen ,only if pain is unbearable. But would suggest you to take a consult
Next Steps
Rest and fluids

You mentioned your 6-month-old baby sometimes doesn’t sleep at night, leading to your wife’s sleep loss and headaches, and that PCM and Meftal Forte haven’t helped much. You're asking whether Disprin or other medicines are safe while breastfeeding. Some painkillers can pass into breast milk, and not all are safe for regular use. Disprin (aspirin) is generally not recommended while breastfeeding. 👉 I recommend you consult me directly to choose a safe and effective option that won't affect the baby: https://www.practo.com/rewa/doctor/amit-kumar-patel-generalphysician
