Why is there pain upper stomach right side

Asked for Male, 9 Years

My son is 9 years old. Today morning when he got up, he was crying and complaining of pain in stomach. He mentioned that it is in upper part and right side only. What could be the reason of pain in that part? Could it be appendix pain or it could be just gas?

The smptoms are suggestive of it being likely gastroenteritis. He would require a deworming if not done in 6 months. He would also require an antacid. Kindly don't skip any meals and give him a liquid diet of soups and juices which would be easier tolerated. don't skip meals and make sure he's well hydratedd.
