This looks more like a coated tongue, which is common and usually harmless—especially since it scrapes off easily, mostly in the morning. It’s often due to dryness, poor oral hygiene, smoking, dehydration, or reflux. Oral thrush usually doesn’t come off easily and is often painful or burning. Keep cleaning your tongue gently, drink plenty of water, and maintain good oral hygiene. If it becomes painful, doesn’t scrape off, spreads, or lasts more than 2 weeks, please see a dentist or doctor for a check.
