White spot in my mouth /throat

Asked for Male, 22 Years

Hello, I have a white spot on the left side palatopharyngeal (I believe that is the proper name for it) It is about half an inch big. It has redness all around it and it is making the area sore, also after i noticed it my ear on the same side started to ache. Should i be worried about it or will it just go away in time and is there something i can do to help it go away faster?
