White patches: Vitiligo/ Leucoderma
I have vitiligo since I was 5 years or less.I am 24 now.Earlier the white patches on my back were small but after growing for some years they are stable from last 12 years. 3-4 years back i got a white spot on shoulder but it hasnot grown much bigger. I have tried everything medications, skin grafting surgery, uv light therapy. However surgery worked a little but none of them solved my problem completely. Can you suggest fast and permanent solution to my problem?

Greetings. Vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder. It may have exacerbations/ improvements depending on various factors. This is a treatable condition, however, cure may not be promised. That is – the pigmentation may be attempted to be improved to normal with the help of medications. If the disease is active, you’ll need immunosuppressive medication to control its spread. Also phototherapy is a good form of therapy to improve your condition. Surgery is a good option when disease is stable.Kindly see a qualified dermatologist near you. Warm regards.
