White patch on face
My daughter is one year old. She has developed white patch on her face for past 20 days. What could be underlying cause of white patch and how can one treat it ?

Probably pitriaysis alba...it waxing and waning....any history allergy, skin lesions.....it's associated with atopy.... treatment with 1 per hydrocortisone ointment,for 2 to 4 weeks

It may be the type Pitrysis alba or may be an early sign of vitilago.I would like to see the picture before making further comments.

More details and check up is needed to confirm. It is a disorder called pityriasis alba.This usually gets better but may take time. The cause is not exactly known. Dry skin is associated commonly. Treatment can be given. Please consult directly for a prescription

It is called Pityriasis Alba Usually it wont cause any permanent white patch It will go by itself

It could be pytriasis alba , if any itching present and further increasing in patch u can use desowen 0.05% cream for one week
