8 month baby vaginal white discharge
Hello, last one week my 8 month old baby girl have white vaginal discharge. Is it harmful?? Please help me. Most of the time I used diaper.
I am worried.

Hello there, Mild, clear or white discharge can be normal in baby girls.It happens due to maternal hormone effect (estrogen withdrawal), even months after birth in some babies. Since you mentioned diaper use. Change diapers frequently (every 2–3 hours or when wet) Give diaper-free time daily, Clean with plain water only (avoid soaps/wipes with fragrance), Wipe front to back, Keep area dry
Use a barrier cream if redness is present
You should watch for urgernt signs like - If discharge persists beyond 1–2 weeks,
If it increases or changes color/smell,
If associated with rash or fever

This is a common concern. White vaginal discharge in an 8-month-old girl is most often normal and benign. It can be due to residual maternal estrogen. How many days the complaint been for , any associated smell, any rash around private parts. Kindly see a pediatrician if u have any concern of persistent complaint and additional risks like foul smell , redness, irritation,any swelling

1)Is there Bad odour of discharge?
2)Any redness/itching at vaginal area?
3) Difficulty in passing urine?
If clear ,non foul smelling discharge then it should resolve in 2-3 days but any symptoms like in question I asked then consult doctor .
Keep area clean,use non irritant soap for bath and use cotton cloth in luke warm water instead of wipes and frequently change diaper even if no stool or urine in diaper
