No it's not a leukoplakia.
It may be a tooth related infection
or
If the swelling is bony hard and discomfort while chewing its more changes of the mandibular torus....
Next Steps
warm saline rinse a few times/day
if discomfort increases or swelling increases consult your dentist..
Based on the photos and your symptoms, this does not look like leukoplakia. It appears more consistent with local irritation/trauma (from hard food, sharp tooth edge, or cheek biting). Mild tenderness supports this.
Avoid hard/spicy foods, maintain good oral hygiene, and allow 10–14 days for healing.
If the white patch does not resolve in 2 weeks, increases in size, or becomes painful, please consult a dentist for clinical examination.
Hello
Picture isn't clear
There can be two possibilities either infection with the tooth or bony eruption(anatomically bone deposition is more) we call it as torus mandibularis also. It is hard when you feel the area.
But doesn't look leukoplakia
From the images, I can see a localized whitish area near the lower molar region. However, it is not possible to confirm leukoplakia or any specific diagnosis based only on photographs.
Such patches can commonly occur due to friction/cheek or tongue biting, local irritation from a tooth edge or deposits, minor ulceration, or sometimes tobacco-related or premalignant changes. Since you are also feeling slight tenderness while eating hard food, it suggests there may be local irritation or trauma.
I would strongly advise you to get a clinical oral examination done. The dentist may check if the patch is scrapable, evaluate nearby teeth for sharp edges or deposits, and decide if any medication, habit correction, or further investigation like a biopsy is required.
Meanwhile, avoid tobacco/smoking/alcohol (if applicable), avoid very spicy or hard foods, and maintain good oral hygiene.
If the patch persists beyond 2 weeks, increases in size, becomes painful, or shows color/texture changes, please get it evaluated immediately.
Hello,
From the pictures and symptoms, this does not look like leukoplakia. Leukoplakia patches are usually firm, non-tender, and don’t hurt while eating.
This appears more like a minor traumatic ulcer or irritation, especially since there is tenderness on eating hard food. It can happen due to friction, food impaction, or accidental biting.
Warm saline mouth rinses once or twice daily will help. Avoid hard, sharp, and very spicy food for a few days.
It should heal on its own in 7–10 days. If it doesn’t reduce or worsens, then it should be examined clinically.
