White bumps on the private parts
Recently have got the tiny white bumps around the lower end of penis. Its not paining but was bit itchy which went off after applying candid powder. But due to pubic hair friction it occasionally becomes itchy and it becomes a bit red which is at the end of the penis. There is no pain but i see few other bumps but i am not sure if its a hair root or actually a bump. Assist what to do, or some kind of treatment.

It may be due to fungal infection, irritation, folliculitis, dermatitis . Keep the area clean and dry, avoid friction, and don’t self-medicate repeatedly. Please consult for proper examination and treatment.

Namastey From your description and the picture attached these are Fordyce Spots. These are enlarged oil (sebaceous) glands that are not attached to hair follicles. They appear as tiny, painless white or yellowish spots and are present in up to 80–90% of adults. They are a normal anatomical variation and are not contagious. The redness with pubic hair friction suggests local irritation or mild inflammation rather than anything serious. These conditions are not sexually transmitted and usually do not require aggressive treatment. However, if the bumps are increasing, changing in shape, forming clusters, or becoming painful, conditions like genital warts or dermatitis should be ruled out with a physical examination.
Next Steps
Maintain good genital hygiene—wash gently with lukewarm water and keep the area dry. Avoid excessive use of powders or harsh soaps. You may continue a mild antifungal dusting powder for a few days if itching recurs, but do not overuse it. Trim pubic hair carefully to reduce friction. Wear loose, breathable cotton underwear. Avoid self-applying steroid creams without prescription, as they may worsen the condition. If the bumps persist beyond 2–3 weeks, increase in number, or you feel uncertain about their nature, it’s best to get a direct evaluation (dermatologist or urologist). For proper guidance and personalized treatment, you can connect with us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5.
Health Tips
Keep the area dry and sweat-free, especially in hot weather. Change undergarments daily and after sweating. Avoid tight clothing that causes friction. Practice safe sexual hygiene, but note that this condition is likely non-infectious. Maintain a balanced diet and good hydration to support skin health. Most importantly, avoid anxiety—these kinds of bumps are very commonly seen and are usually harmless unless accompanied by pain, discharge, or rapid changes. Thank you
