Which allergy test shall I take
Hi Dr,
I am facing symptoms such as itching, hives and swollen lips since a few months now.
The symptoms are under control with Allegra 180 mg which I take in every 24 hours. However, the day I skip a dose, I get the symptoms again. I need to find what specific allergy am I having. A doctor suggested to take an IGE test, but I understand it won't give me the specific details of what thing is causing allergy symptoms. Therefore, I want to know which test can I take for accurately diagnosing my condition.

No tests will give any specific details.
You should take some antihistamine like Allegra and you will get temporary relief.
In fact 180 mg dose is rather high. Please consult with your Doctor, if a lesser dose can be tried.
