Hiii
If the degloving injury is deep and more extensive would like to suggest get a skin grafting done ( good govt hospitals ) without that it will lead to permanent scarring, delayed healing high chances of infection wich can lead to secondry complications.
With a good skin graft skin will start healing in 2-3 months and within a year it will be a healthy looking skin with minimum pigmentation.
Hope this helped you
For any further doubts u can consult
Thank you
Without a skin graft the healing will be very slow and may take months, also there will be more chances of infection. You can go to a general surgeon or orthopedic surgeon in a government hospital where expenses will be very less
Hlo, It will take minimum 1 month to heal, you would need to take proper care for the hygiene and do wound care as changing dressing every 48hours and clean it with betadine and take antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor which will help in rapid recovery of the wound
I need a pic but use megheal ointment.. along with it get dressing every 3 days if it's deep wound ,to debrive any unwanted tissues for faster healing.
Next Steps
monitor for any discharge,if present come to hospital for dressing and short course antibiotics along with probiotics .
Health Tips
it takes time.. but if you pay attention it won't take long. of it's deep and not healing for almost 3 months now .. you haven't written duration ...it's better to go for graft ,in government hospital like aiims it will be cheaper like nothing
Hello Ma’am,
In a degloving injury, natural healing from knee to ankle without skin grafting can take many months, and recovery is usually slow and incomplete. Proper wound care and regular follow-up are very important, otherwise infection and complications may occur.

Healing Timeline: Without skin grafting, such wounds may take anywhere from several weeks to over six months for granulation and secondary intention healing, depending on the wound’s depth, cleanliness, and the patient’s overall health.
Treatment Focus: The primary priorities should be meticulous wound cleaning, regular dressing changes, prevention of infection, and supportive treatments like nutrition and, if affordable, negative pressure wound therapy (VAC), which may accelerate healing but still adds some cost.
Risks: Healing without a graft increases risk of delayed wound closure, chronic infection, contractures, and stiff joints, often resulting in functional impairment and possibly the need for amputation if infection or tissue death occurs
