Piles are of 2 types. Internal and external. They present with pain while defeacating, bleeding & constipation generally. The probable causes are chronic constipation, lack of fiber in the diet, over weight, excessive intake of spicy food, long hours of sitting, excessive junk food and reduced water intake. Make sure to drink enough water through the day, have sufficient fruits and vegetables in the diet, avoid junk food, reduce spicy food and exercise regularly. More specific advises can be given only after a consultation.
