What are numbness right leg below knee

Asked for Female, 40 Years

I am a mother of a 18 year old girl. My daughter suddenly 3 days back landed up with a severe back pain and now since yesterday has developed numbness in her right leg below knee. The pain has settled but the numbness is the complaint now. Wht could be the cause of this numbness? What should be done?
