Wet cough for 5-6 days could be due to many reasons... bacterial infections, viral infection (Flu, common cold) and now a days Covid... although the cough in CoViD is usually dry. Whether to go for a CoViD RTPCR test or not depends on whether you were exposed to someone who was or has now become CoViD positive.
Next Steps
Monitor your oxygen saturation every 6 hrs and temperature every 8 hrs.
Health Tips
If any additional symptoms arise like Fever, headache, bodyache, congestion in chest, breathing difficulty, loss of smell and/or taste. Go for the CoViD test.
