Weird taste
I tested positive for covid on April 16 with mild to no symptoms and recovered well. I experienced a loss of taste and smell. The taste and smell have come back partially. However, now for the past 3 weeks I've been having a weird taste in my mouth. I can't find a better word to describe it than "bitter-metal". The taste is prominent when I eat chicken. And now it's started becoming prominent even in certain vegetarian foods. Please suggest what I should do, or if there's any test that I must get done to get to the root of this problem.

Guess ur suffering from aguesia or dysguesis …. It’s common with covid infection …. But people who have these as their symptoms have a good outcome…. Nothing much to worry about… the ace receptors which are predominantly altered by this virus will go off eventually…. There are cases where ppl have loss of taste n smell for months… but in most cases it returns by 8wks….

No tests are there for this thing, this tatse is known as metallic taste in medical term and common causes are poor oral hygiene to prolong use of medication. Can easily be reverted back to normal after dietary and lifestyle changes, along with good pre and probiotics
