Weird formation on right rib area

Asked for Male, 64 Years

My father has a weird formation on his right rib area under the chest. It was initially very tiny and has grown slowly. One of the doctors said that it is simply some additional muscles that have formed up. But I am afraid it might be malicious. Please suggest what should I do?
