Congratulations on quitting alcohol that is an important step for your overall health and recovery. Long term alcohol consumption can contribute to muscle loss, poor nutrient absorption, and weight loss. While yeast protein can be included as a protein source, it may not be sufficient on its own for optimal muscle gain. For rebuilding muscle, focus on adequate total protein intake from sources such as dairy, eggs, fish, chicken, soy, pulses, and legumes (depending on your dietary preference), along with regular strength training and a balanced diet rich in calories and nutrients.
Next Steps
I would recommend a personalized nutrition assessment before starting any supplement, so the most suitable protein source and diet plan can be suggested according to your health status and goals."
Health Tips
It is important to assess liver health and check for any vitamin or mineral deficiencies that may have developed due to prolonged alcohol use.

Yes you can. Very good for gut as well. But only taking protein won't help, you should be doing strength training as well.
