Hello,
I have a new born 13 days ago. Her weight at time of delivery was 3.4kg. i started having breast milk from day 4. But my daughter sleeps a lot and will not feed while sleeping. She needs to be awake. Hence my feed is generally at interval of 4 hours. And at night i will feed her at 12 am and then next feed will be 7 am.
Now my baby weighs 3.1 kg at 13th day. Is this ok or something is not right?

Feed her once in 2-3hrs in morning and a gap of 4hrs can be allowed in night.
Beyond 4hrs may lead the baby to dehydration and inadequate weight gain..

Give feeds every 3 hrs atleast. Up to 8 to 10 feeds u should give. Initially 10% wt loss is normal and acceptable for most babies. But do changes as above.
