My babys birthweight is 2.6kg and at discharge he weighted around 2.61 kg and now at 1.5 month he is 3.8 kg is he underweight.he is baby boy

Hi,normal birth weight is 2.5-3.5kg now he has gained 1200g frm birth which is a good weight gain . He is not underweight

No your child is healthy and gaining well. During first 7 to10 days of life child loose weight and by day 10 achieve birthweight. Thereafter gain 25 to 30 gm per day for initial 3 month of life. At 1.5 month your child weight should be 3.5 and he is above that so he is not at all underweight.
