Gaining weight is all about being in a caloric surplus and proper excercise. You have to eat more than your body needs to work so that the excess is stored in body. Consulting a dietician and getting a diet plan would be the best thing to do for you.

You have already told genetic problem is there. Try these tips for a while. Regular physical exercises for atleast 1 hour daily. Eat well balanced diet with plenty of leaffy vegetables and fresh fruits. Drink plenty of water. Have defined work and rest hours. Eat two bananas daily. Eat 50-100 grams of chakki ( groundnut and jaggery preparations ) regularly. Review after 3 months.
