Wax discharge from left ear

We observer the brown liquid discharge from the left ear. It was there for only one day. Is it due to ear infection? To should we contact pediatric or ENT?

Ear discharge In children is usually because of acute suppurative otitis media which is a common type of acute Middle ear infection after an attack of viral upper respiratory tract infection. Usually it will resolve with simple antibiotics
