My son has done multiple watery stools multiple times in the last few hours, now his body is feeling a bit warmer than normal. He was offered milk but it was instantly expelled out.
We are giving him lactulose 5ml twice a day as he was suffering from constipation for last 3 days.

Hello
I understand your concern
Lactulose is a stool softener often used for constipation. It works by drawing water into the intestines to make stools softer and easier to pass. However, if the dose is too high or the child is sensitive, it can sometimes cause loose stools or even mild diarrhea.
Next Steps
Stop or reduce lactulose temporarily
Give plenty of fluids to keep your child hydrated
Watch for signs of dehydration – dry mouth, less urine, lethargy
If stools don’t improve in 1–2 days, or child is very irritable, he should be reassessed
Health Tips
Start Syp zinc 20mg/5ml, give 5ml once daily for 14days

I don’t see the age and weight of the child. A better advice is possible if you mentioned it
First you should stop lactulose
Start ORS - quantity depends on the age of the child
Do not give sugary drinks or juices
Avoid milk for now - better give him curd/ yoghurt/ any drink with probiotics/ coconut water
Banana has stool binding properties and should be encouraged
Khitchri/ rice with curd
Next Steps
If diarrhea persists I will advise a stool routine and microscopy
