This can happen after epididymitis and is often manageable, not always permanent.
Get a semen analysis test first to assess sperm count and quality.
Maintain good diet, avoid smoking/alcohol, and take proper rest. Don’t worry many cases improve.

A past episode of Epididymitis can sometimes affect semen quality temporarily because the Epididymis plays an important role in sperm maturation and storage. However, in many men the semen parameters improve over time once the infection and inflammation settle.
Watery semen or low quantity does not always mean infertility. Fertility mainly depends on parameters seen in Semen Analysis such as sperm count, motility, and morphology. Many men with mild abnormalities can still achieve natural conception.
Next Steps
You should undergo a proper evaluation before worrying about fertility. Recommended steps include:
• Repeat Semen Analysis (2 tests, 3–5 days abstinence before sample).
• Ultrasound of scrotum to assess the Testicles and epididymis.
• Blood tests for reproductive hormones such as Testosterone, FSH, and LH if semen abnormalities are found.
• Consultation with a Urology or andrology specialist.
If semen parameters are mildly reduced, doctors may prescribe supplements such as antioxidants (e.g., Coenzyme Q10, zinc, L-carnitine, or Methylcobalamin) to improve sperm quality.
Health Tips
• Avoid smoking, alcohol, and excessive heat exposure to the testicles (tight underwear, hot baths).
• Maintain healthy weight and regular exercise.
• Include foods rich in zinc and antioxidants such as nuts, eggs, fish, fruits, and green vegetables.
• Ensure adequate sleep and reduce stress, as hormonal balance also affects sperm production.
The condition is often manageable, and many men with similar history still have normal fertility. If you wish, you can book an online consultation and share your semen report so I can review it and guide you on the most appropriate treatment to improve sperm quality and fertility chances.
