Parabens are commonly used as preservative in cosmetic products. There has been a lot of controversy regarding skin cancer, estrogen activity, allergies BUT none of these claims have been proven . Recent studies suggest Parabens specially methyl paraben n ethyl paraben are safe to use in the concentration present in cosmetics. In fact they are a better choice than using some less proven preservative.
