Hello, since all your lab reports are normal and u r facing this issue due to long term stress or anxiety... It's important to first understand how long have have been in this condition and what are the symptoms.
Dear Practo user, Irritable bowl syndrome is a Psychological issue, mostly related to Anxiety / Stress. So we have to identity the Underlying Paychosocial isaue, if any which leads to IBS followed by Anxiety.
Next Steps
My suggestion to u is take an appointment for me, so that we will address all the issues related to IBS.
Thanks for reaching out for help. A diagnosis of IBS needs treatment of your mind and emotions , sometimes with a simple medication to help you control it. You can take an online appointment with me or any therapist to help you understand the onset and the way to avoid it.
Next Steps
Speak with your general practitioner/gastroenterologist about taking psychological counselling and they will suggest if medication is also needed in the initial stages and then be tapered off later.
Health Tips
IBS is a mentally triggered reaction to stress and anxiety so please be aware of what might be triggering it for you. This will help you discuss better with the psychologist.
