I have hairfall since long 1st my doctor gave me anaphase shampoo and grip hair serum with some vitamin tablets..later she gave me sureclin shampoo..my hairfall have got better than before but it didnot stop completely from (2months) ...so again My doctor gave me to use minoxidil eva solution for regrowth of my hair... But i have learned so many side effects are there with it.and already i hve high tesosterone levels in my body and i am scared about the growth of abnormal hairs by using minoxidil.. So i want advice about using it!!

There are many reasons for hair fall or thinning of hair on scalp. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin. Moreover, you should never self treat with anything.
