Waiting period to get covid vaccine
Recently our family got Discharged from hospital on 23rd April 2021 with moderate to severe covid.. Do we need to get vaccinated even after covid infection.. if yes what is the waiting period

You have to wait for minimum 8weeks to take vaccination.
And yes you should also get vaccinated in spite of 1covid infection.

Reinfection with CoViD where people have had a 2nd episode of CoViD have been reported. So once a person has been infected, it doesn't mean they can't be reinfected again. So do go for vaccination and maintain all CoViD protocols like mask, hand hygiene and social distancing.
I would suggest a waiting period of atleast 15-21 days to give your body a chance to fully recuperate from the first episode. Rest to be decided by the physician present at the site of vaccination.

Post covid vaccination if you have received 1st dose then it is recommended according to who and manufacturer guidelines. But it depends if you haven't received 1st dose of vaccination yet and you have recovered from it.
