Vitiligo and Hypothyroidism
Hi, I'm working in Saudi Arabia. Last year vitiligo started appearing on my skin. I consulted a doctor and he told me that it's because of hypothyroidism. I did blood test and he was right. Now I'm taking medication for hypothyroidism(Euthyrox-50mg-Levothyroxine sodium). I'm taking medication for uric acid too( Agout-febustat 40mg). Previously I was taking medication for -AST (SGOT)-85 U/L,ALT (SGPT)-271 U/L(now it's 26 and 25 respectively). Vitiligo keep appearing on my skin despite taking medication for hypothyroidism.

Vitiligo is an autoimmune condition. Though, it is associated with hypothyroidism or diabetes, etc ; the treatment of vitiligo is different. You need to treat vitiligo as a separate condition. Kindly take online consultation for the same.
