Vitamin D overdose
Hi Doctor's, We have by mistake given 1 ml dose (800 iu/ml) to my baby from birth to 1.5 month. Now we are worried about the implications. Thill now he is fine by God's grace, now he is more than 2 months old. Kindly advice.

Hello, I understand your concern Short-term intake of 800 IU/day is not harmful in a healthy baby. This dose is well within the safe upper limit, which is: 1,000 IU/day for infants
Next Steps
Reduce to the correct dose — 400 IU/day going forward. Continue routine checkups and vaccination schedule. Discuss correct supplement use at each well-baby visit.
Health Tips
Though unlikely at this dose, signs of Vitamin D toxicity (usually seen with very high doses over weeks/months) include: Vomiting Poor feeding Constipation Increased urination or thirst Lethargy

This is only mildly high dose. If no symptoms it should be ok You can skip vitamin d for next 1.5 months - vitamin d is stored in the liver but after 1.5 months please continue 400 iu per day
