Vitamin B deficiency
Hi Doctor, I have 1 year old baby. I am having vitamin B12 deficiency. I feel spicy when I eat not spicy foods. And my tongue has some irritation also. Shall I continue breastfeeding? Please suggest to cure my deficiency problem

Yes, you can continue breastfeeding. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause tongue irritation/burning sensation and weakness. Please consult a physician for proper treatment with your B12 supplements/injections and blood tests if needed. Also take a nutritious diet with milk, curd, eggs/non-veg if taken. Treating the deficiency is important for both mother and baby.
