Hi, Fever is just your body's response to the real problem. We need more information regarding your fever, its duration and any other symptoms associated with it to come to a real diagnosis. If it is a seasonal flu it should subside on its own in due course with the help of some OTC Paracetamol. But we need more information to rule out other causes of fever including infection of the chest/urinary tract etc.

Yes..100.5 is a fever...you definately need medicines....if fever extends for more than2 days,even after taking symptomatic medicines then need to do basic investigations
