Dear patient, You're using Flunarizine 5 mg for the last 3 months and your symptoms of vestibular migraine are now under control – that's a good sign. To answer your question: Does Flunarizine have side effects on the heart or brain like blockage? No, Flunarizine does not cause heart blockages or direct damage to the heart or brain. However, long-term use may rarely cause: Drowsiness, weight gain Low mood or depression (especially in sensitive individuals) Extrapyramidal symptoms (like tremors) in elderly or prolonged use Flunarizine is generally considered safe when used under supervision, especially for up to 6 months. Always take it as per your neurologist’s advice and follow up if you notice: Mood changes Excessive tiredness Muscle stiffness Right now, since you are symptom-free, you are doing well. Just stay in touch with your doctor for regular reviews.
