Vaccination schedule
I gave vaccination from private doctor. The vaccines costed around 9k per month for the first three months. It was written hexa tdap in the pack. Now many are saying TDP is better and giving from government is always the best choice because there is a difference in components and TDP is always better. Is it true? Are private vaccines inferior in quality?

Hello. This is Dr Rubal Jain (MD Pediatrics and Lactation Consultant). There is no difference in the effectiveness/ efficacy of the vaccines provided by any sector as long as they are approved by the govt of India. The private sector vaccines are imported vaccines and hence so expensive. These vaccines offer the same effectiveness with a much higher safety profile. That is the chances of developing side effects experienced by govt sector vaccines are much less. Also, there are still many vaccines which are recommended by the IAP ( Indian Academy of Pediatrics) which are not available in the govt facilities. Nevertheless, if you wish to get the upcoming vaccinations of your child in a govt sector, there is no harm.
