Yes vaccines can cause fever and crying  due to pain for a couple of days. Minor cold and minor fever is not a contraindication for vaccines. Keep in touch with a pediatrician

Yes, this can be normal after the 6-week vaccination. Many babies develop fever and excessive crying (sometimes called post-vaccination irritability) especially after vaccines like pentavalent/DTwP. The crying can last for several hours and fever may be high on the first day. Since your baby already had a mild cold and fever before vaccination, the symptoms may appear slightly more intense.
Next Steps
Give paracetamol drops as per weight (usually 10–15 mg/kg/dose every 6–8 hours if needed) Ensure adequate feeding and hydration Keep baby lightly clothed and comfortable Gentle soothing (holding, rocking) helps
Health Tips
When to worry / consult doctor immediately: Fever > 102°F not settling with medicine Continuous inconsolable crying > 3 hours Poor feeding / lethargy Seizure, excessive sleepiness, or breathing difficulty Reassurance: These symptoms usually settle within 24–48 hours and do not cause long-term harm. You can consult me on practo if symptoms persist.
