My new born baby 3.5 month vaccination is scheduled but he has got high fever now. Do I have to reschedule his vaccination appointment? If yes why is it so?

No vaccination to be given if baby is running fever . Postponement of vaccination till she recovers is the only answer along with diagnosis and treatment of cause of fever.
Delaying the vaccination by a few days is not going to cause any harm to the baby

Yes you have to reschedule his appointment. Because the DPT vaccine which is given at 3.5 months itself can cause fever. So your Pediatrician cannot make out if the fever is due to illness or vaccine. Also high fever in such a small baby may be a serious infection. Get it diagnosed and treated first.
Children who are sick( low grade fever, cough, running nose, diarrhea) can go for vaccination unless fever is high grade, child is very sick ( lethargic, high grade fever, not feeding, irritable) as this needs to be evaluated first.
Vaccines do not make a mild disease severe.
