Hi, I had been covid positive around 15th April ,2021. Now decided yo go for vaccination. It was all good but suddenly I have bad throat pain just before Today its my slot booked. Could be mostly due to cold water etc still would like to ask if I should proceed with vaccine today or wait for days to till throat gets better? I drink less water I know :( Now throat pains very bad even swallowing saliva. Could not sleep whole night Kindly suggest.Also what can I do for throat?

U may be suffering from acute infectious phyringitis, if such amount of pain is there I will suggest u not to go for vaccination right now. Because symptoms of this disease can mimic post vaccination AEFI and we also can’t use NSAIDS POST vaccination. Take paracetamol and do betadine gargling with lukewarm water....you should wait for a few days before taking the vaccine
