Vaccination after Covid Recovery
My parents got 1st dose of covishield on 1st April, and then got Covid on 20th April. Still they are recovering. My question is when can they go for 2nd dose because I have heard that till 3 months from the date of infection we cannot vaccinate a person? After 3 months do they have to take 2nd dose or again 1st and 2nd dose will have to be taken again ? And if they have to take 1st and 2nd dose again, can they go for other vaccine like covaxin.?

Ideally 2 doses of  covaxin has to be taken 4 weeks apart and 2 doses of covishield has to be taken 6 -8 weeks apart, but if a patient contacts covid infection in the interim period he has to wait atleast for 4 weeks till all covid symptoms subside.
Next Steps
now in your case since patient crossed 2 nd dose due date ,he can be taken freshly for vaccination again and he can go for any of the 2 vaccines
