Using minoxidil 5% for women.

I am 28 years girl. Going to get Marriage in 3 months (Nov). My dermatologist asked me to use minoxidil 5% for my hair fall problem. ( 2 months back I used minoxidil 2%. Couldn't see better result so he suggested this) I searched web, it says 5% is used by only mens.i am worried to use. whether I can use or not. Will it affect marriage sex life?Plz
