Fibrocystic disorder is a benign condition of the breast. Seen in women in the reproductive age group. Patients mostly complain of pain that is in relation with the menstrual cycle and it occurs mainly due to hormonal changes in the body.
Patients may require medicines and lifestyle modification depending on severity and associated other conditions.
Next Steps
Since she is over 30yrs I recommend screening Ultrasound of breast annually.
It's a condition called aberration of normal development and involution ( ANDI) and what you're suffering from is cyclical mastalgia. It's a process in the natural history of breast development. Most women report some degree of cyclical breast pain at some point in their lives; 21% experience severe pain that interferes with function. There is no increased risk of cancer in women with fibrocystic
changes in a woman younger than 50 years unless proliferative or hyperplastic lesions with atypical
epithelial cells are present on biopsy. As there is a defined Cyst of 1 x 0.5 cm found on USG .. you may have a USG done during day 1 to 14 of menstrual cycle with guided aspiration of the Cyst and FNAC .
Other measures - A well-padded support bra and loose light clothing may relieve discomfort and weight reduction is recommended if your body mass
index greater than 30 mm per kg.
Can try Centchroman 30 mg twice weekly for 3 months if you are not planning for conception as it is a newer generation contraceptive and is beneficial in improving fibrocystic disease and cyclical mastalgia.
You haven't given any history regarding nipple discharge if it is bloody or the Cyst aspirated is bloody is a high risk factor.
