Use and withdrawal symptoms of Etilaam
My brother has anxiety and has been taking ventab 37.5 since some years prescribed by a psychiatrist. Last month he was having anxiety issues so he consulted another psychiatrist who stopped ventab saying that it shoots BP and long term use causes resistance. He started Etilaam 0.5, nexito 5 which is now increased to 15 mg OD and ativaan SOS which now is 2mg OD. Then after around 3 weeks etilaam was finished and due to some personal reasons my brother couldn't consult and didn't take etilaam for 3 days then consulted and dr prescribed Etilaam Pro 20+0.5. During these 3 days, we noticed that his Bp came high ranging from 148/113 to 131/91. First I want to ask, can suddenly stopping etilaam causes high BP. Also, since some 3 months he was having chest tightening issues, which was not much initially but since few days it increased, can this be also a withdrawal symptom of Etilaam or can anxiety also  cause it? ECG came normal. How safe/unsafe is the use of Etilaam/etilaam pro and ativaan?

Definitely, since medication have been missed for 3 days BP can fluctuate Etizolam and propranolol combination is good for control of anxiety symptoms Chest tightness and pain are one of the presenting symptoms of anxiety Venlafexine is good medication often used for severe symptoms of depression as suicidal thoughts etc, it is not preferred in that cases who are already have BP problems, but it's a good medication for severe symptoms Do not worry, medications must be reviewed and should be taken at particular time daily and if missed a dose, take it Asap, continue follow up visits, keep records of symptoms, BP monitor

These look like symptoms of anxiety classically..continue the treatment for some time along with breathing exercises.
