My baby is 5 months old. His urine culture says E coli colony greater than 100000..
Ziprax dry syrup is given to him.. my question is for how long should the medicine is given.??? Is it a correct medicine??

Whenever there is culture positive urine infection, the duration of antibiotics is a bit longer and follow ups are necessary. And if there is urine infection in children less than 6 months then proper examination followed by urine test and ultrasound is mandatory. And yes the medicine is correct
