After taking these medicines for 1 hour or 2 hours for once or rwice urine colour is getting changed to light greenish yellow. After 3rd time onwards it is normal colour only. Is this normal? • Often due to rapid urination / concentration. • Sometimes linked to proteinuria (protein in urine), but since CUE is normal, serious kidney disease is less likely. • Could also happen due to dehydration or high urine flow from diuretics (furosemide).
Next Steps
Hydration: Drink enough water. • Repeat urine protein (spot protein/creatinine ratio) if foamy urine persists for weeks. • Kidney function test (serum creatinine, eGFR) for reassurance. • If no protein, no blood in urine, and kidneys are normal → nothing to worry.
Health Tips
When to Worry • Persistent heavy foamy urine (every time). • Swelling of face/feet. • Decreased urine output. • Blood in urine.
