Hello, I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling. When depression doesn’t improve despite multiple antidepressants, it is called treatment-resistant depression (TRD). In such cases, options beyond routine medicines are considered, such as: Combination or augmentation therapy (adding mood stabilizers, thyroid hormone, or atypical antipsychotics to antidepressants). A. Advanced treatments like Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), or Ketamine therapy (where available). B. Psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, or other structured therapies) alongside medicines. C. Lifestyle interventions (sleep hygiene, exercise, nutrition, stress management).
Next Steps
👉 Please consult a psychiatrist who has experience with treatment-resistant depression to re-evaluate your case. 👉 Ensure thyroid function, vitamin B12, vitamin D, and other medical causes are ruled out. 👉 Consider combining medication with psychotherapy for better results.
Health Tips
Do not lose hope- many patients with TRD improve significantly with the right combination of approaches. Avoid self-adjusting medicines without supervision, as it may worsen symptoms. You have mentioned  your distress, Still there are many options to treat TRD, * Some basic investigations too needed for proper treatment* as a thyroid profile, RBS, CBC, vitamin D Medications do not have proper response if there is a deranged parameter that we mentioned "So don't lose hope, TRD is common, still treatable, most important is detailed evaluation of every minute details that is needed for proper and precised treatment " Plan a consultation with a psychiatrist to whom you can trust with all your previous medical records and investigations

That sounds really heavy to carry. When depression doesn’t respond to medication, it doesn’t mean there’s no hope. Sometimes therapy, lifestyle structure, or newer treatments like RTMS or ketamine can make a difference. Please don’t give up keep reaching out, you don’t have to go through this alone.
Next Steps
Comprehensive re-evaluation, psychotherapy, explore advanced treatments ( RTMS, ketamine, ECT), strengthen daily routine, and build steady support system..
Health Tips
Regular sleep, balanced meals, daily movement, journaling, therapy sessions, limit alcohol, steady support circle.

When depression does not improve after trying several antidepressants, it is called treatment-resistant depression. This can feel very discouraging, but there are still effective options available. Along with medicines, many people benefit from psychotherapy (like CBT), structured lifestyle changes.
Next Steps
It's important not to lose hope- treatment-resistant depression requires a more personalized approach. I encourage you to consult with me for counselling support and guidance on coping strategies, while also working with your psychiatrist to explore advanced treatment options.
Health Tips
Please don't stop treatment abruptly or isolate yourself. With the right combination of therapy, medical care, and support, many people with treatment-resistant depression do experience recovery.

I’m really sorry to hear how difficult this has been for you. Treatment-resistant depression can feel very discouraging, but please know there are still options. Apart from trying different antidepressants, approaches like combination therapy, augmentation with other medicines, psychotherapy (like CBT), brain stimulation therapies (rTMS, ECT), or other newer treatments can sometimes help when usual medicines don’t
Next Steps
Please consult a psychiatrist in person, share your past treatment history, and discuss advanced options. Also ask about therapy and lifestyle support, as these can make a big difference along with medicines.
Health Tips
Do not stop or change your medications on your own. If you ever feel hopeless or unsafe, please seek immediate help from a doctor or a trusted person. You are not alone, and effective treatments are available.

There are several options to treat depression. A thorough review of history and treatment would be helpful. After this new medication can be tried. Other options include individual therapy, family related interventions. Newer treatments like TMS, tDCS can also be tried.
