Urgent help- Dialysis patient
My father is undergoing dialysis thrice a week since January. His creatinine is between 9-11, potassium is controlled Bt hemoglobin is low somewhr near 7.4. He just recovered from covid 10 days before. After that he has lost his appetite. He doesn't eat much which is resulting in weightloss. He feels lethargic and sleepy all day . He don't even talk much now. Pl give ur opinion- Is this a matter of concern? What can we do to bring back his appetite knowing his present situation?

Based on your history he is a chronic kidney patient Post covid infection people usually suffer from body ache loss of appetite and weight loss But since your father is having elevated creatinine as well better to repeat renal function test and consult a nephrologist near you at the earliest as it could also indicate acute on chronic kidney disease
