Hi there,
A detailed medical and psychological history is to be taken in every case . There is also a need to take the Mental Status Examination of the patients to come to a diagnosis and managing them accordingly.
Well still some advise can be given with your narrative of the problems.
The reaction to the sounds can’t be said just normal at your age. May be some past experiences with the sounds are emerging at the present.
Persistence of the sounds and trying to run away from that source may be related to the OCDs type spectrum disorder.
