Umbilical hernia
My father has umbilical hernia. He is regularly having stomach ache these days. He is 55 yo and his weight is 95 kg. He has a big potbelly too and he is quite overweight. Shall we immediately go for surgery or my father should reduce his weight and the potbelly and then only we can go for surgery. One doctor said my father would have to reduce weight before surgery otherwise the mesh would not be positioned accurately. Please tell me what should I do?
