Umbilical hernia 5 cm
Hi Doctors, My wife is diagnosed with umbilical hernia with 5 cms , initially  6 months back she had ectopic and during that doctor bsaid she had .5 cm hernia , not it is 5 cm please advise us is it safe to go for laproscopy or open cut . I have attached her report She is in visakhapatnam She is 73 kgs weight and healthy and we have only one kid and need suggestions if we go for open cut and mesh which will be safe and 99% safe and secure .please suggest.

Lap and open both are equally good and safe. only difference is scar below the umbilicus in open surgery. Lap is costly than open. Consult surgeon for more details.
